Procedures That Uses Fire For Bottle Glass Cutting.
The three parts of a bottle are the neck, body and mouth with the area from the neck being slender than the rest of the body. By cutting of a stream of molten glass from sheet glass or from glass container glass with a clipping blade a glass cylinders is formed using either the blow and blow process or the press and blow technique which is known as a gob. When the manufacture of the bottles is completed, they are distributed among different uses like storage of perfumes and drinks.
There are different procedures on how one can make glasses out of a wine bottle which includes:
Use of flame to make a glass bottle. The first step is to create a line where you would like the bottle to cut off at using glass bottle cutter tool such as a glass cutter or a glass grill. Secondly, heat the glass along the line you created in a direct flame from a small candle or a small butane torch while constantly rotating it to ensure even distribution of heat. The bottle can be dipped in cold water in a sink or in a pot full of water as the third step after the 5 minutes heating. Sometimes the bottle require more than one round of heating and cooling, so repeat the process until the bottle cuts off. Finally, rub the edges of the glass immediately after it breaks, to avoid cutting yourself. With a square sand paper and then with a finer grit sandpaper.
Yarning a bottle cut.
The first step of cutting a glass bottle using a yarn or a cotton string involves wrapping the yarn or cotton string around the bottle 3 to 5 times at the area where you would like the bottle to break, tie the ends together and cut the excesses. The string or the cotton yarn is then removed from the bottle gently and placed on a dish where nail polish remover or straight-up acetone is added over the yarn until it soaks completely while the excesses are poured into the bottle. Thirdly, replace the yarn or cotton strings back to the break off position and ensure that the loops are close together and tight so that the bottle can cut in a level and clean. Use a match or a lighter to light the yarn and rotate it gently to allow for consistent burning. After the yarn burns out, dip the cut off end in a sink or pot full of cold water to cut. Sand the edges with a rough sandpaper to smooth and then with a finer grit sandpaper.
